Arrowtown Medical & Health has a strong and explicit commitment to protecting children and young people and to promoting their health, safety, and wellbeing. This commitment applies to all children and young people within our practice community, whether they are directly or indirectly connected to the services we provide.
We work to create and maintain a practice culture where child safety is a shared responsibility, supported by a zero tolerance approach to child abuse and neglect. We expect all staff to act professionally and responsibly at all times, and to contribute to an environment where children and young people feel safe, respected, and supported.
All staff and volunteers are safety checked, as required for their role, and receive training to help them recognise and respond to children who may be experiencing abuse, or who are vulnerable to, or at risk of, abuse or neglect. Concerns about child safety are taken seriously and are responded to in accordance with our policies and legal obligations.
This page reflects our commitment to being a practice where child protection is clearly understood, actively supported, and consistently applied.
